My music is inspired by the jazz and Indian classical traditions, but also takes on influences from folk, rock, country, New Music, and Latin American music.

I have performed on drums, tabla, trumpet, and vibraphone in jazz, Hindustani, folk, and popular music settings in the United States and India. I have shared the stage with nationally and internationally acclaimed artists including Damani Phillips, Ken Peplowski, Gabriel Espinosa, Prateek Narsimha, Chuck Redd, Halie Loren, Alex Hargreaves, and Malik Flint (bLAck pARty), among others. I have learned tabla with Rishitosh Kumar of the Banaras gharana (lineage). Besides my activities as a performer, I have also studied composition with Tyshawn Sorey and Mark Laver.
